Wow, it seems like it’s been forever since I last posted on this thing. I’m finally done with this semester. Very stressful, but I learned tons. Overall, this was a great year and it’s only going to get better!

As I was working on my prints and furthering my experience and knowledge of what it means to create honest and sincere work at school this year, I realized that I’m a very impatient person. At times, I can almost be obnoxious. Can you believe it? Anyway, I think this is a very healthy self-realization that I need to work through. Working as an artist I need to understand the benefits of stepping back from my work and letting it breathe. Good work is never pushed out. It takes time for inner inspection, time, and a lot of reworking. Just like great literature, I shouldn’t expect a masterpiece without spending time on thinking through things. I will leave you with that little bit of wisdom for all of you over-achievers out there.
