Fort Williams

15Jul07

I’ve been in Inverness for about three days now and I’m getting ready to take a two day trip to Fort Williams. Fort Williams is a small town right below Loch Ness and is home to the tallest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis. I’m going to try and climb it, but I don’t know how successful I’ll be. I’m sure I’ll get some good pictures though.

I really can’t wait to get back to my home away from homes, my print studio at Viterbo. I’ve had so many ideas on my trip and all I’ve had to get them out is a small sketchbook. Sketchbooks are great, but they can only take you so far in the process. Weekends will be bliss, just me and the copper plates, yeah baby.

My last stop was in Edinburgh which I’m sure many of you knew, anyway they had an incredible Picasso exhibition in the Nation Museum of Scotland. It dealt with the years in which he work with clay and pottery the title of the show was: Fired with Passion. What I didn’t know is that Edinburgh had another exhibition of Picasso’s prints at the Dean Gallery which is right by the Modern Gallery. Anyway, to make a long story short I realized that I had to see this exhibit so I’m going back to Edinburgh for one more day before flying back to America.

See you all soon,

Jonathan

Did you get to the top of the mountain? I can’t imagine mountains being very tall in England, but I’ve never been there.

Good call on going back to Edinburgh to see Picasso’s prints.

    Talk to you soon.
